Annotations

Basic breakdown of how RGC type names and how they are classified in CellMuseum:

  • gc/ac = ganglion cell, amacrine cell
  • m/b/t = monostratified, bistratified, tristratified
  • a = asymmetric: asymmetic dendritic arbor
  • r/d = regular or diffused: diffuseness of dendritic densities
  • n/w = narrow or wide: expansiveness of dendritic arbor
  • s/t = short or tall: breadth of dendritic densities (depthwise)
  • o/f = ON or OFF: stratification layer of dendrites in IPL
  • 1-10 = depth in retina: layer dendrites stratify in (10 is closest to GCL)
