MOSTEC stands for the MIT Online Science, Technology, and Engineering Community. It is an education and enrichment program from MIT. Each year students from across the United States participate in an online summer course in their chosen discipline. At the end of the program the students come to Cambridge to spend a week on the MIT campus. They then get to see firsthand what they'd been learning about, present their research papers and meet with lab faculty and staff.

In 2012 the Seung Lab had it's first MOSTEC class. Twenty-four students participated, learning about neuroscience and connectomics and playing EyeWire. They each completed a research paper which can be found in the EyeWire Library.
