The size of the cell and the concentration of GABA in the cell are thought to be unrelated to the responsivity of the AMPA receptors. The responsitivity of AMPA receptors in orientation selective ganglion cells is relatively high. Higher responsivity of these AMPA receptors means that signal integration time is lower for orientation selective ganglion cells.[1]
Molecules
The neurotransmitter glycine is found in very small concentrations in ganglion cells.- ↑ Cite error: Invalid
